During this course you will receive both group and individual support from an experienced teacher who will guide you with demonstrations of techniques and individual coaching.
Topics will include:
- Understanding colour theory
- Mixing colours
- Applying basic techniques needed for watercolour and acrylic painting
- Understanding composition, perspective, and positive & negative space
- Understanding the use of line and mark making, as well as light and shade
You will use real life subjects and photographs to learn how to observe shapes and colours, and apply a variety of media such as watercolour, charcoal or acrylics to achieve wonderful effects.
All our courses are made up of elements of speaking & listening, reading and writing, and you will work using these elements throughout the course.
Learning takes place in a friendly classroom setting, which is a great place for social interaction and helping you meet new people.
Practice at home and completion of homework is advisable to enhance your learning experience.
