Botanical art is a varied and absorbing subject ; you will be working from a variety of sources including still life and photographs learning the basics of depicting the natural forms and features of plants and applications of drawing and painting media within a supportive group setting with plenty of expert guidance from a qualified tutor .
Topics may include:
- Observational skills
- Drawing technique
- Use of a range of art media , such as pencils , watercolour paint, inks, pastels, watercolour pencils
- Combine some of these materials to create finished pieces
All our courses are made up of elements of speaking & listening, reading and writing, and you will work using these elements throughout the course.
Some of the skills you gain on this course could help increase your opportunities for employment or working within the community. Learning takes place in a friendly classroom setting, which is a great place for social interaction and helping you meet new people.
Practice at home and completion of homework is advisable to enhance your learning experience.
