This course is fantastic for those just starting out using mixed media to create pieces of art.
Topics may include:
- Use a variety of different art materials, such as acrylics, watercolour paint, inks, pastels, watercolour pencils and much more.
- Combine some of these materials to create a painting in a subject of your choice.
- Create many special effects using the above mediums plus additives and provides lots of opportunities to experiment with techniques such as marbling, mono printing, wax resist, collage and impasto.
A range of subjects can be included seascapes, landscapes, animals and birds, underwater scenes, people, and abstracts.
All our courses are made up of elements of speaking & listening, reading and writing, and you will work using these elements throughout the course.
Some of the skills you gain on this course could help increase your opportunities for employment or working within the community. Learning takes place in a friendly classroom setting, which is a great place for social interaction and helping you meet new people.
Practice at home and completion of homework is advisable to enhance your learning experience.
