During this course you will receive both group and individual support from a qualified teacher to learn the basics of hand sewing and how to thread up and use your sewing machine. This course will start at the very beginning by looking at the basics and help you to gain confidence operating a sewing machine successfully.
Topics that will be covered include:
- The basics of hand sewing
- Threading your sewing machineUnderstand how to produce a few basic seams and resolve your sewing skills
- Sew on buttons, hooks and eyes and poppers and turn up a basic hem
All our courses are made up of elements of speaking & listening, reading and writing, and you will work using these elements throughout the course.
This course can help you to cut your costs and by recycling and renewing, make the most of your existing wardrobe and furnishings, making a contribution to a greener environment and helping you financially.
