As an accredited ITEC Centre, Skills & Learning’s qualified Beauty Lecturers are also professional therapists trained in the latest techniques and treatments. Professional salon facilities offer a safe and private learning environment with industry standard equipment.
This course qualifies for CPD points.
Hopi Ear Candling is a natural therapy, known to have originated from the Native American Hopi people, that have come to the Western World and into complementary and holistic therapies. Used for treating ear and sinus problems the practice is safe and non-invasive.
The aim of the Hopi Ear Candles course is to enable qualified Beauty Therapists to develop their professional skills and increase business opportunities by gaining the necessary practical and theoretical skills to provide Hopi Ear Candle Treatments.

- Pressure point facial massage
- Benefits and history of hopi ear candles
Pre-course information session or interview
There is an application process for this course.
You may be asked a few screening questions to check that the course is suitable for you, as follows:
That you are a qualified therapist to at least Level 2 Beauty
- That you are (or have been within the last three years) working in the industry
- That you can demonstrate an ability to carry out an effective consultation
- That you will maintain a record of CPD, with associated evidence, in accordance with ITEC/Habia/BABTAC requirements

Assessment of progress, tests, exams
Your tutor will observe your progress and give feedback throughout the session.
There is no qualification or examination attached to this course however upon successful completion you will receive a course Certificate to confirm CPD points awarded.

Materials and costs
- Please bring note taking equipment (e.g. notebook/pen/tablet)
- Fee includes all essential equipment and materials to undertake and complete the course
- No subsidies or concessions are available on this course
- You will need to provide/wear appropriate clothing, footwear and provide any required PPE.
- Disposable gloves provided
- You may need to show evidence of appropriate and valid insurance

Home study: you will be required to do significant study at home between sessions to assist with your learning and progress.
Proof of identity: please bring photographic ID and your National Insurance number with you to your first session. You will also need to provide it for any external examinations you take.
Off-site activities: with some courses, there may be the opportunity for off-site enrichment activities at additional cost, for example: gallery, museum or exhibition visits. Where this is an integral part of the course, your tutor will discuss the arrangements with you during your induction.
