Introduction to Photoshop Part 1
This intensive yet fun one-day course will develop your core skills in using Photoshop to 'develop' your digital photographs.
What the course is about
This one-day course will provide all the essential skills needed by photographers to get started with Photoshop software. This software tool can be used to improve your digital photography images. The course will show how to use software effectively to:
- Organise your image collection - import, process, manage and display images
- Create a more efficient image workflow from camera to screen or print
- Perfect your photographs with a range of built-in tools to control brightness, contrast and crop images
All our courses are made up of elements of speaking & listening, reading and writing and you will work using these elements throughout the course. Some of the skills you gain on this course could help increase your opportunities for employment or working within the community. Learning takes place in a friendly classroom setting, which is a great place for social interaction and helping you meet new people. Practice at home and completion of homework is advisable to enhance your learning experience. This course is subsidised by Government funding so you should aim to attend the whole course.

Assessment of progress, tests, exams
Your tutor will work with you to review your progress towards achieving your goals during the course. There is no qualification or examination attached to this course.
Who the course is for / Previous experience, knowledge or qualifications
This workshop is suitable for beginners but is aimed primarily at the needs of digital photographers.
Materials and costs
You will need a notebook, pen and A4 folder. Prior to the session your tutor may contact you regarding additional materials to bring if possible.
