Mindfulness is a way for us to become more aware of our thoughts and feelings so that we are better able to cope when we are feeling stressed or anxious.
During this course you will use drawing as a means of developing mindfulness and improving relaxation and energy.
You will try out many sorts of mark making including creating patterns and drawing from inspiration around you and your imagination. You will be able to use a range of materials.
This course is participative and includes information giving, demonstration, discussion and working together. You will need to be prepared to take an active part in the sessions and to challenge some of your thoughts and beliefs. It offers an avenue for creative pursuits, improving your health and wellbeing.
The friendly classroom environment is a great place for social interaction and helping you meet new people.
All our courses are made up of elements of speaking & listening, reading and writing, and you will work using these elements throughout the course.
Some of the skills you gain on this course could help increase your opportunities for employment or working within the community.
