We hope that you feel that the results you have been issued are a fair reflection of the work that you put into the course. However, some of you may feel disappointed either because you did not achieve the grade which you were aspiring to or because you would have liked the opportunity to do the exam. If this is the case, you have the following options:

1 – If you did not achieve a grade 4 or above, you have the opportunity to sit the exams free of charge* in November 2020. Alternatively, you may prefer to return to learning and complete the full GCSE course again from September 2020 and take the exam in May / June 2021.

2 – If you did achieve a grade 4 or above but would like the opportunity to take the exam in November, then this option is available free of charge*. We hope to organise some revision workshops before the exam, but you will be responsible for your own preparation for the exam. If you do take the exam, both your Centre Assessed Grade and exam grade will be valid, and you can use whichever is the highest.

3 – If you did achieve a grade 4 or above and would like to redo the course you are able to do this, but unfortunately this is not funded so you would need to pay the full fee of £811.

*There will not be a charge to take these exams, although a no-charge fee of £30 per paper will be charged if you enter for the exam but then fail to show up, unless medical evidence is provided.
