Computing and Digital Skills

Computing courses

It is our intention to offer most of our IT courses, from September, either online or as blended learning (a mixture of face to face learning in the classroom and online delivery). We will offer face to face courses as soon as it is appropriate to do so.  You can apply to join an ICT course by completing the online application or by calling our Customer Services department for assistance.

We offer a range of computing courses from our beginner’s Refresh Your Computer Skills to ECDL Extra at Level 2. Our courses usually are held at a number of venues across Dorset, Bournemouth and Poole at different times of the day and evening as well as on Saturdays. These courses are not fully funded by the government and some learners will need to pay a fee to attend.

Online and distance learning work shifts? Don’t have someone to look after the children so you can go to class? When you attend an Admission Session ask about our English, maths, ESOL and ICT distance/online learning opportunities.

Our accredited ICT courses (Improve your Computer Skills, Enhance your Computer Skills and ECDL Extra) will help you:

  • Improve your job prospects
  • Develop skills in using ICT
  • Gain a nationally-recognised qualification
  • In order to enrol on any of our accredited ICT courses, you can either complete an online application or contact our Customer Services team on 01202 262300 or 01305 819059 to book onto an admission session. You can also email enquiries@salbcp.com
  • At the admission session you will then receive further information and advice and have the opportunity to ask questions about the course
