Dolphin Centre

First opened in 2022, Poole Adult Learning Centre is the new home of Skills & Learning in Poole. It features state of the art learning facilities including 2 classrooms, hair and beauty salons, computer areas, art studios, and more.

Access

Skills & Learning is located on the first floor, above HMV, Card Factory and Body Shop. It can be accessed via the escalator, lift or stairs. Please note, the lift from the bus station to Poole library is currently being refurbished. The nearest lift is in the Dolphin Centre, next to Wilkos (first floor) and Starbucks (ground floor).

Once in the learning centre, all classrooms are on one level and are fully accessible for wheelchair users. Please advise at enrolment if you would need assistance to evacuate the centre or building in an emergency. A personal emergency evacuation plan will be designed.

There are 3 unisex toilets and an accessible toilet within the learning centre. There are also plenty of public toilets in the Dolphin Shopping Centre that are close to the learning centre.

Parking

Parking is available close by in the Dolphin Multi-Storey, Swimming Pool Surface Car Park, or the Lighthouse Multi-Storey.

Food & Drinks

Please note food and drinks are not allowed in Poole Adult Learning Centre with the exception of bottled water – we encourage you to re-use a bottle. Drinking water is available in the centre from the water cooler in the corridor area.
