King's Park Leisure & Learning Centre

Kings Park formally Bournemouth Indoor Bowls Centre is a multi use facility we operate from to run courses. As one of our main Skills & Learning centres, it is home to many courses from maths and English to beauty and therapies.

Entering Kings Park

From Kings Park Drive you will see a blue BCP Council direction sign. There is a small entrance slip road to the right of this sign that leads to the car part and entrance.

To access the building; to the right of the entrance door there is an entry display – please press the ‘S&L reception’ button. This activates a video alert inside the building and one of our office staff or the receptionist will release the door for you to enter. You will know when the door is open as there will be a clunking noise, releasing the lock. There may be a slight delay in the door opening. Once in the building, Skills & Learning is based upstairs.

Refreshments

There is a café facility open during the daytime and evening serving coffee, teas, refreshments and some light meals at certain times – the opening times are displayed on the wall in the café. Please note the restaurant only accepts card payment. The café is downstairs to the right hand side of the stairs as you walk down. There are also vending machines – these also only take card payments. You may prefer to bring your own refreshments as the café opening is not always regular.

Disability / Access Information

There is an accessible entrance, toilets and throughout building. Lift is available to lift to the first floor located by the main entrance, next to the stairs. There are also designated parking bays.

Parking

The centre can be reached via Kings Park Drive (off Ashley Road) with plenty of on road parking and a large free car park. Parking free, however is not guaranteed and is offered on a first come, first served basis.
