Traineeships & Supported Internships
Traineeships are an ideal opportunity for young people who are motivated to get a job but who lack the skills and experience that employers are looking for.
Traineeship programmes are designed to prepare young people, 16 – 24 year olds, for their future careers by helping them to become ‘work ready’.
They are ideal for 16-24 year olds who are already motivated to get a job but need help to gain skills and experience to help move forward and progress into an Apprenticeship, further education or employment by:
- Providing work preparation training to equip you with the knowledge and skills to start your work placement
- Providing you with a placement in the type of business you would like to work in
- Working with you to build up your Maths, English and ICT skills to improve your job prospects
Please visit the Gov website for more details here.
Supported Internships are a special type of study programme for young people between 16 and 24 with an Education & Health Care Plan (EHCP). These programmes provide a supported work placement alongside a package of learning to help you develop skills for life and work.
We currently have Supported Internships delivered in partnership with SWRAC (South West Regional Assessment Centre). For more information, please contact SWRAC directly:
