Parking and Transport
Most car parks are within walking distance of the town centre. Free parking is available in the car park adjacent to the Shaftesbury Town Silver Band HQ, near Ivy Cross Roundabout. The Town Hall is at the top end of the High Street. On either side of the Town Hall cobbled walkways lead down to Gold Hill: steps to the left, past the entrance to St Peter’s Church, and quite a steep cobbled ramp to the right. Wheelchair users may need assistance in negotiating this slope. Gold Hill Museum is at the top of the hill behind the Town Hall.
