Connect to Work – Employment Support in Dorset

Are you a Community Organisation that works with local people with disabilities, health conditions or other challenges to finding employment?

Would you like to be a Connect to Work Referral Partner?

When considering if Connect to Work is right for an individual, it is important to ensure that they are keen to work at some point during the next 12 months.

When on our programme, your service users will receive face to face one to one support from our dedicated Employment Specialists who will listen, get to know them; as well as identify their strengths and job goals. We will help your service users find the right job for them.

Our Employment Specialists have small caseloads which means that they have the time to invest in our participants. This means they can spend time job searching, supporting with interview preparation, and confidence building as well as working with local employers to find real, lasting job opportunities.

In-work Support to help them keep their new job

Our Employment Specialist will also be there on the first day of a new job offering ongoing, personalised support. They can advocate for their Participants and support the employer to make any reasonable adjustment required under the Equality Act, including funding from Access to Work.

Starting a new job and adapting to a new routine and income can be overwhelming, so our Specialists will make sure they are there for their Participants as long as they need them (up to 4 months).
