GCSE Biology gives learners a great foundation to gain an understanding of the workings of the human body, organisms, evolution and the environment.

Studying GCSE Biology can give you the knowledge and skills to help you progress onto studying science at university or for a career in healthcare. This course can also help you to develop your curiosity for the natural world and strengthen your analysis and research skills

Why study GCSE Biology?

We offer intensive 9-month GCSE Biology courses which start in September, with exams in May/June. Our tutors will support you throughout your course, but you must be prepared to complete homework and study independently in between classes.

We also offer GCSE Maths and English, and functional skills courses.

What topics are covered in Biology GCSE?

You will study a wide range of topics to help you to demonstrate your knowledge and analysis of scientific ideas. Some of the subjects covered include cell biology, infection and response, homeostasis, bioenergetics, evolution and many more.

Can I study GCSE Biology online?

We do not currently offer online courses in GCSE Biology; we offer classes with a small number of learners with friendly and experienced tutors to create a welcoming environment for you to learn in and get the most out of the course through face-to-face teaching. Our courses also offer the opportunity for self-study with regular research tasks and homework set by the tutors.

Can you just study GCSE Biology?

Yes, you can! With our courses there is no added pressure to study another GCSE alongside biology so learning with us gives you the opportunity to dedicate yourself to studying the subject, but if you would like to, we also offer GCSEs in English, maths and psychology. We also offer introductory courses in biology for those who would like to build a strong foundation before progressing onto GCSE.

English Language and Maths skills at a minimum of Level 1 are required to enrol on our GCSE Biology courses and all learners will need to complete an online application and an initial assessment in English and Maths. This is a chance for us to identify your starting level so that we can provide you with the best learning experience.

How do I enrol?

1. Once you know you would like to study a GCSE with us, please book yourself an admission session. This is a chance for us to meet you, assess your current working level and ensure you are placed on the best course for you.

2. After your admission session, we will offer you a place on a course best suited to your ability. You can then enrol for this online. We will try our best to offer you a course at a convenient time and place for you based on your needs.
